Eric is twelve-year-old seventh grader interested in sports. However, for financial reasons, he can only participate in soccer. When not involved in soccer Nathan has a poor attendance record and is frequently tardy to school. Eric excels academically and would be a straight A student if his attendance record were better. Eric has a small group of friends who also excel academically and participate in STEM enrichment activities such as the Computer Club, Robotics Competition, and the Lego Logo Competition. With his friends’ encouragement and support, Eric also participates in these after school activities and his team has won several awards.
